Little Locals: Instrument Petting Zoo

Civic Orchestra of Tucson’s Musical Instrument Petting Zoos lets kids get up close with the instruments that professional musicians play!

Here’s how it works:

• They bring a selection of string and percussion instruments.
• Musicians volunteer their time at the zoos, to help participants hold the instrument correctly and make a beautiful sound.
• Many children, and even some adults, are then inspired to start the study of a musical instrument.
• This can be the first step in a child’s life-long love and appreciation of music.
