Pre-K & K Programs

The Art of Color

Using the picture book My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss, this lesson will reinforce color identification and how colors impact our moods. This energizing program incorporates literacy, movement and art to explore the relationship between feelings and color.

It Makes Sense!

Children will discover the power of their senses in the book My Five Senses. We will play a fun game with our noses and aroma bottles then round out the program with a senses-stampede! Children are sure to leave with a sense of the amazing world around them.

    Let's Get Fit!

It is never too early to learn how to be healthy and strong. While exploring the book Stretch, little ones will do yoga along with dog! They will also practice creating balanced meals on our felt board and play a lively round or two of the food group shuffle.

    Explore the "M" in STEM

This program is a hands-on introduction to the world of MATH! Pre-K children will have fun finding the shapes in Mouse Shapes, practice forming shapes with craft sticks, then let their imaginations take over and make a unique paper shape creation. Kindergarten students will practice their counting skills by counting along to 12 Ways to get to 11 and counting up a storm with our counting chips.

    Electricity Investigators - Power Up!

This guided lesson explores how electricity is generated, how it powers our planet and the importance of conservation. Taking place in Electri-City, students will compare muscle power vs. solar power and "turn on" our greatest renewable resource — the sun! Classes will also enjoy shocking static electricity experiments with the hair-raising Van de Graff generator.

    1st - 3rd Grade Programs

    Grossology

Students will learn about the body and some of the grosser functions of the digestive system by checking out our “Grossology Wall”, a hands-on reenactment of digestion and a burp demo. This program is a life-size lesson on the amazing human body.

    Up In The Air

In our Investigation Station STEM gallery, students will experiment with the attributes of air, air power and how air is able to move different objects using our impressive Amazing Airways exhibit. Air power will surprise you again when we make and launch stomp rockets using recycled materials.

     Math Mosaics

It's math, its art...it is both at the same time! Classes will create patterns and learn about symmetry in our new Build It! gallery while reinforcing characteristics of shapes and how to classify them. Our large pattern blocks are a fun, hands-on way to practice fractions and everyone will make a mini mosaic to take home.

     1st - 4th Grade Programs
